Is It Normal For Women To Not Enjoy Sex

Sex is supposed to be fun...but what do you do when it isn’t?

According to a recent study, the percentage of women who report difficulty with obtaining or the inability to orgasm is as high as 40 percent, significantly higher than previously thought. In other words, almost half of women are not experiencing enjoyable sex.

If you’re one of that 40 percent, you may feel like ‘that’s just how it is.’ You might think it is completely normal to not enjoy sex. But it isn’t, and it certainly doesn’t have to be.

Today, there are cutting-edge, non-surgical treatments available that are designed to help women enjoy a fulfilling and satisfying sex life. Understanding the potential cause of your discomfort, and the available treatment options, is key to experiencing great sex.

Why Your Sex Life Might Not Be Satisfying

A lagging sex life doesn’t mean your relationship is damaged. It also doesn’t mean that you’re broken or “not normal” in any way. There are many underlying, naturally occurring causes that could be negatively affecting your sex life.

For example, other health conditions can contribute to pain or discomfort with intercourse. This can include vaginal infections, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, cysts, and more. It’s important to speak to your gynecologist if you experience pain while having sex.

Other times, normal life events such as childbirth and menopause can cause fluctuations in vaginal laxity and hormonal balances. These fluctuations impact your ability to experience an orgasm, as well as your natural lubrication.

Age is perhaps the biggest culprit. The natural aging process can cause tissue to thin or stretch, scaring, and vaginal dryness. This causes pain and dulled sexual sensitivity. Aging also can cause bladder leakage, which, on top of being embarrassing, can make sex less than enjoyable.

The good news is, these are things that you can address. If hormone fluctuations, age, or childbirth have impacted your sex life, sexual vitality treatments can allow you to experience a vibrant, satisfying sex life.

Sexual Vitality Is Within Your Reach

The O-Shot and the diVa treatment are two pathways women can take to an increased ability to reach orgasm and a greatly increased chance for a quality sex life. And they’re both available through Matrix Age Management’s Sexual Vitality Program!

The O-Shot is a non-surgical treatment that uses platelets rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate stem cell growth in vaginal tissue, resulting in healthier, more flexible tissue.  The O-Shot has shown to be effective in treating issues such as:

  • Decreased libido
  • Stress-related urinary incontinence
  • Decreased ability to orgasm
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Chronic pain from childbirth trauma, such as scarring
  • Chronic pain from meshes
  • And many more

The procedure is quick, usually taking as little as 10 minutes, and is performed by an expertly trained team in the safety and comfort of the Matrix Age Management facility.

The diVa Treatment is a state-of-the-art laser therapy that uses a combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to help cleanse and stimulate vaginal tissues.  Benefits recorded from the diVa treatment include:

  • Increased lubrication
  • Increased vaginal tissue elasticity
  • Increased quality, and frequency, of orgasms

As with the O-Shot, the diVa treatment is safe, effective, and fast, usually taking an average of only five to ten minutes.

The best part is, you don’t have to be a Matrix Age Management patient to receive these treatments.
